Felgen-Sammlung Suzuki Swift Sport 2018

    Felge 7.50x17 ET 35.00

    Reifen 205/40 R17

    Danke und liebe Grüße!

  • Hello... I've changed the Contis with Yoko Advan Fleva and I noticed red and yellow dots on the tires sidewall. Apparently this dots are for the guidance - for "technician" to know where he should put the valve stem/tpms and where the tyre should be mounted on the alloy rim if the rim has mark with low point. Because nothing is 100% round the manufacturer can mark where the tyre has highest point/more weight (red dot), lowest weight (yellow point) and where the rim has the lowest point/ (it must be marked on the wheel itself - low point dimple) for the best initial balance.

Is anyone paying attention to this details? Do stock ZC33S rims have any marks for lowest point - low point dimple? There is one symbol on each wheel but I'm not sure what is for.

If the tyre has only yellow dot the valve stem should be mounted where the yellow dot is located. If both dots are painted on tyre the red one has higher priority and yellow dot is ignored.

  • Hello... I've changed the Contis with Yoko Advan Fleva and I noticed red and yellow dots on the tires sidewall. Apparently this dots are for the guidance ...

I have never noticed this before but I am not the one who was mouting the tires on my rims. Out of curiosity I will check that next time.

  • Red and yellow points on the outside of the tires are matching points for the tire and rim (ususally necessary on high performance cars or motorsports).

after production the manufacturer is doing a dynamic balancing test.

The red dot is showing the position of the dynamic center of gravity.

The yellow dot is showing the position of the most lightweight area on the tire.

If you also know the dynamic cemter of gravity of the rim you will mount these two position vice versa.

If yo do not know this of the rim you will mount zhe yellow dot exactly on the position of the vent of the rim.

In the end you will achieve better dynamic roundness (less vibrations) for high speed and you will be able to reduce balancing weight.
