Performance Upgrades for Swift RZ/AZ?

  • Hey everyone!

I am looking to boost the performance of my Swift Type RZ/AZ & would love some advice from fellow owners. What are the best mods / upgrades you'd recommend for improving power; handling; & overall performance?:S

I'm considering intake and exhaust modifications; but not sure where to start or what provides the best value.

So; Any recommendations for suspension / brake upgrades?:/ I have checked https://www.sssoc.co.uk/forum/…ily-driver-modding-threadmsbi reference guide but still need help.

Looking for something that's daily driver-friendly but still enhances performance.

    Thanks in advance !:)

  • Hi and welcome!

Your request is very general and wide. I think it depends on what you want to do ith the car (track days?) and what your budget is.

From my experience, some coilovers, modified ECU software and a front speaker upgrade is what many people did. I did same (well, no coilovers, just cheap lowering springs for the beginning) and love the car since.

Exhaust modifications are a bit difficult with this car. You can either buy an aftermarket rear muffler, which will not change much in sound or you go with a valve / flap exhaust that is much more expensive and may be unconfortable over timer due to drone noise inside the car.

Brakes are quite solid on that car, in relation to the weight. I find the stock ones sufficient, even at higher speeds. Just the quality of the discs is lousy, they tend to rust badly, eespecially the rear ones.

Enjoy the car and have a safe drive!

    Gruß,

    Dennis

  • If you want to do it right begin with better brakes and the suspension maybe right after. A valve-controlled exhaust system might be welcome also. Once your car feels solid and set up well get a new software for the ECU.
